Song-a-Day: Goldhouse “Runaway”

Goldhouse The Morning After Runaway ReviewGoldhouse is a solo artist from Chicago who makes really high energy dance music – and that’s about all I know.

While going through my pile of songs that I have teed up to potentially write about every day, the one that’s speaking to me the most at this very minute is Goldhouse’s Runaway. There’s nothing mind-blowingly original about the song necessarily, but it’s just a fist pumping good time and helped me walk a mile in about half the time that it usually takes me, just a few minutes ago. So that’s gotta count for something , right? (Yes, vocab police, I just said “gotta.”)

Runaway reminds me of something off Tiesto’s last record; I could easily hear it being blasted from the speakers at a party in Ibiza. The trick to really getting into the song is listening to it with some headphones on while doing something active – even if that’s just cleaning your house. I promise you, you’ll get your chores done in half the time.

So, in summary, I know nothing about Goldhouse other that he’s from Chicago and good. His entire EP/mixtape/whatever, The Morning After, is hot, too. Get into it.

Have a listen to Runaway below and then download it for free via SoundCloud.
