Today’s Song-a-Day comes from solo artist, Madison; a bouncy pop jam called “Low Lights.”
Madison’s debut EP, The Noise Some People Make, has been out for over a year now, but I’m only just getting around to properly giving it a listen. I don’t have a bio for her, so I know nothing about her, but I remember discovering her thanks to a remix done by sonic geniuses, RAC, for her song #1.
Low Lights isn’t going to set your iPods on fire with originality, but it’s a song that could feasibly have been a big hit had it been recorded by a big time popstar somewhere in the Shitney Spears category. The beat keeps you moving, her voice is pleasant, and the production works well.
All-in-all, a great addition to any getting-ready-to-go-out mix.
